Nick completed a half-year internship at KLCC 89.7 FM, Eugene (NPR), where he wrote, voiced, and edited news spots and features for "News at Noon" and "Northwest Passage." Some of these pieces also appeared on regional segments of “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered.“ He was an on-air voice for both programs, and conducted live interviews for the latter. The KLCC staff team-edited stories and sought to frame local and national stories in a regional context.  Nick covered a variety of topics including local and national politics, health, science, agriculture, the environment, and arts.
